Dear Supervisors and University Staff,
We are halfway through the 2024-2025 performance cycle! It is time for supervisors to meet with their staff for a mid-year performance check-in. This mid-year check-in is a chance to foster an environment of support. To spotlight achievements, recognize successes, and address areas where additional support may be helpful. Recommended topics to discuss: The status of performance goals and specific projects. Areas of support that are needed. Guidance for correction and details about development as needed. If this is a good time to add professional development to the schedule, consider a list of ideas on the Wiki.
One simple and meaningful professional development option is the 15-minute self-directed course CU: Skills for Mental Health Support – CU Denver. (you may need to log in with your CU Credentials to view) This course introduces the Recognize, Respond, and Refer framework you can follow when a member of the CU Denver community is experiencing mental health challenges.
Your mid-year check-in form is included in the Performance Management and Development Program Form, in the excel format form that was newly released in 2023. Your mid-year notes can be added to the Expectations & Goal Setting tab and/or the Mid-Point Check In tab.
