Margarita Bianco, associate professor in SEHD, gave the keynote address at CU Denver’s welcome event for first generation college students on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, lifting up new students and their families. Her remarks were met with enthusiasm and a sense of relief that there are first generation faculty members at the university who are happy to provide inspiration and mentorship.
