HR Tip- Personal Observance Day for Fiscal Year 2023 – use by June 30, 2023

Dear University Staff & 12-month Faculty: As you may recall, in May of 2022, Colorado and the University of Colorado officially recognized Juneteenth as a state holiday. Here is the original email from the CU President.

For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, eligible faculty and staff will have this additional holiday to use as a paid personal day of observance, which may be used in observance of Juneteenth or on another day of the employee’s choosing. Employees may use their personal observance day on or before June 30, 2023.

To record this time on your MyLeave calendar, use Earnings Code “Personal Observance Day.”
