A New Foundation For Accountability: What is quality and who decides? is an interactive day that will explore how to lay a new foundation for school and district accountability, designed with and for students, families, and educators.

Colorado’s current school accountability system provides insight that is designed primarily for state and federal policymakers. This event is focused on how to reimagine a system built with educators and families as its primary users, while also providing the data that is necessary to inform those responsible for oversight of Colorado’s education system.

Join us for a day focused on ideas to transform theory and ideas into practice for school districts throughout Colorado. We will explore trade-offs, opportunities, and challenges while learning from states and communities who have taken on this important challenge. Speakers and breakout sessions will focus on student, family, educator, and community perspectives that are essential to advancing accountability efforts to meet the needs of all who participate in public education in Colorado.
