Dr. Robin Brandehoff and doctoral candidates Daranee Taychachaiwongse Teng and Amie Ha have published a chapter titled “Critical Mentoring in the Hyphen: Reciprocal Connections Through a Shared Asian American Identity” in the book Thriving in Higher Education: Uncovering Institutional Counter-Stories Through Abolitionist Feminist Mentoring. This chapter discusses our individual experiences in mentoring and being mentored through a critical Asian American and feminist lens and ways in which faculty in higher education can support historically marginalized students as they progress through the academy.
