Given the increase in reliance on digital technologies, here are some broadband access resources:
CDHE (Colorado Dept. of Higher Ed.): Guide For People With Disabilities: Programs For Low-Cost Internet, Mobile Plans, And Digital Literacy
This resource explains how people with disabilities can receive low-cost internet and cellphone service. It also includes how to get free or low-cost devices and enroll in programs that foster digital literacy. The guide serves as a blueprint to ensure people with disabilities can:
- Find low-cost internet service providers and phone carriers
- Receive certain discounts
- Boost their digital literacy
- Use current technology regardless of their income and employment status”
The Arc Family Resources was Developed to support families of individuals with disabilities
Children and Youth with Special Needs: This community resource exists to support children and youth with special needs, by providing a list of resources available to support them in accessing medical resources/supplies, transportation, family support, and more
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Employment First Advisory Partnership
Regarding state resources to support employment for those with disabilities
This partnership offers another resource that may be particularly helpful for folks who are unfamiliar with what’s happening at the state level to support the employment of individuals with disabilities is the Employment First Program.
