The Teaching in Higher Ed podcast, created and hosted by the inimitable Bonni Stachowiak, is a cornerstone of the current conversation about higher education. The podcast has featured guests like Sara Goldrick-Rab, Jesse Stommel, Bryan Alexander, Catherine Cronin, Rajiv Jhangiani, Amy Collier, Remi Kalir, and many, many others speaking on matters as various and vital as Open Education, Networked Pedagogy, Digital Literacy, Homelessness and Housing Insecurity in Higher Education, and how to do Small Online Teaching.
And so it is with enormous pleasure and gratitude that Digital Pedagogy Lab announces a partnership with Teaching in Higher Ed for the 2020 Lab at the University of Colorado Denver. According to their website, “The podcast focuses on topics such as excellence in teaching, instructional design, open education, diversity and inclusion, productivity, creativity in teaching, educational technology, and blended learning.” Because Digital Pedagogy Lab offers courses and conversations about similar topics—and as the Lab has also featured many of the same speakers as Teaching in Higher Ed—we feel this partnership is a perfect fit, and will give Lab participants even more to enjoy.
As well, Teaching in Higher Ed will give those who are unable to attend the Lab a very special perspective on the event. Bonni will be interviewing speakers at the event, as well as developing a narrative across the full event, which will be aired after the Lab to give listeners a chance to experience the gathering through storytelling. But even better, Bonni will be broadcasting live from Digital Pedagogy Lab on July 28, 2020 at 4:30pm Mountain / 6:30pm Eastern.
We are very pleased to welcome Bonni and Teaching in Higher Ed, and we hope the podcast will help to grow the DPL community. We believe this is an exciting partnership for everyone who attends or has wanted to attend Digital Pedagogy Lab. Stay tuned for more information about Teaching in Higher Ed at DPL 2020.
