There are two wonderful student events this week and we would love to see you there! We are asking faculty to volunteer one hour of time on Thursday or Friday to support our newest CU Denver undergraduate students! These events are a collaborative effort with CU Denver Student Affairs, First Year Experience, and the Center for Faculty Development and Advancement.
The first faculty volunteer opportunity is on Thursday, August 13th (between 10-2 pm), for student move-in day. For the first time ever, we will have a faculty table where families and students can ask us questions, grab some candy, and learn about our amazing institution! On Friday, August 14th there is a student involvement fair for new students. We will also be tabling at this event (from 11:30-1:30). We even have a stop on the student scavenger hunt where students ask faculty questions to help set them up for success!
These events will be fun and meaningful to the new students. They are a way for students to meet faculty and build their connection to our institution.
