Complete any unfinished Skillsoft trainings by 5 p.m. Sept. 6

Dear colleagues, as you may have heard, the Skillsoft learning management system that CU uses for employee trainings will migrate to a new platform in September 2024. Everyone is being asked to finish any in-process or time-sensitive trainings prior to the start of the upgrade window at 5 p.m. Sept. 6.

You can review upgrade details on the Percipio project webpage.

Why the change?

Our current LMS, Skillsoft Skillport, is being discontinued, meaning we could no longer have access to needed updates, libraries and more. Moving to Percipio ensures that all content can be maintained properly.

Action steps

If you are in the middle of working on any Skillsoft training modules, please complete those in Skillsoft no later than 5 p.m. Mountain Time Sept. 6, 2024. Skillsoft/Percipio will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Sept. 6 until the upgrade is completed (a week or two later is expected).

The Percipio upgrade will feature a significant update in the platform’s visual interface, navigation and overall usability. It will still host CU’s custom-built courses, but it will also include a greatly expanded, updated library of standardized courses.

Percipio will allow users to customize their course recommendations based on their skill interests, assess their current knowledge to identify any skill gaps and recommend relevant courses to their professional development. It also offers a mobile app, allowing employees to learn on the go.
