Supervisor Management Academy cohort nominations are due soon for 2024-2025

Dear colleagues who supervise frontline employees, including student employees:

You may have noticed in a recent recent CU Denver News that applications are open for the Supervisor Management Academy for the 2024-2025 year. Sessions are expected to be a half-day commitment once a month from September through May, and will be offered both in-person and virtually.

If you are interested to apply for this opportunity please check with your supervisor for agreement, and then submit your application promptly here:  https://ucdenverdata.formstack.com/forms/sma_nomination_application

The deadline to apply has been extended to the end of April. CU Denver Human Resources will review nominations and make final decisions for the 2024-2025 cohort, and will contact the nominators and participants.

SEHD colleagues who have been part of this program in the past shared some positive feedback including:

  • I learned a ton about CU Denver history, decision making and met people from other colleges/depts.
  • Our meetings were very open and I felt very comfortable sharing, the sessions were relaxed.
  • The once a month schedule for 4 hours has been manageable and it accommodates both virtual and in-person attendees
  • The reading assignment was only to read 1 chapter per month
  • I’d recommend any new manager to participate!
