Giving Voice to Immigrant Experiences: Supporting and Advancing Practice in Schools
Colorado Bilingual School Mental Health Network (CBSMHN) and the Colorado Department of Education are excited to host this unique event on how to support immigrant students when they enter our educational systems. This event is designed so that professionals in Colorado can better support immigrant students and families as they navigate our educational, special education, and mental health systems. During this day-long training, participants will learn about the background and demographics of the immigrant students in Colorado, hear from mental health professionals and their experiences in other countries, and the family perspective of what helped them navigate the education, special education, and mental health systems. This event is a live only event, and will not be recorded.
When: April 22nd, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Who: ALL EDUCATORS who Intervene, evaluate, and support immigrant students especially those students with disabilities and mental health concerns.
