Dr. Chaparro has been invited to deliver the key note address for the XV Inter-American Symposium on Ethnographic Research in Education. The conference runs June 1st through 3rd in Lima, Peru at the Pontificia Universidad Católica. The Inter-American Symposium on Ethnographic Research in Education has taken place every three to four years since 1989 in South, Central and North America. The symposium is a well-known hub for Latin American scholars and gathers a vibrant community of educational ethnographers working in a variety of locations and countries and across disciplinary boundaries: anthropologists, educators, linguists, and sociologists. The theme of the conference focuses on education and mobility in times of crisis.
