Center for Faculty Development: Communities of Practice

Communities of Practice(CoP) are small cross-disciplinary groups of faculty engaged in active, collaborative work focused on enhancing teaching and learning as well as building community. CoPs provide peer support for faculty to explore, investigate, attempt, assess, and adopt new (to them) methods and approaches. CoP participants may choose a project to try out innovations on which they will receive feedback and support from other community members. Join for a semester or the whole year. Faculty who attend 5 of 6 scheduled sessions and complete a project will receive $200 in PD funds.
