Yesterday’s alternative licensure ECE educator’s bill signing with Governor Hickenlooper.
The bill opens up the opportunity for those working in a community ECE program and holding a BA in a different field, to enter a state approved alt licensure program for the ECE license pre-K to grade 3.
Dr. Shannon Hagerman from SEHD was among those who testified on behalf of this bill.
Dr. Stacy Howard from Qualistar also testified.
Bill partners also included the Colorado Children’s Campaign and the Colorado Department of Education.
Representatives Jeff Bridges and Jim Wilson and Senators Jim Smallwood and Stephen Fenberg were the bill sponsors.
