Notice of Campus Visit – Emilie Ney (February 14)

Emilie Ney, candidate for the Assistant Professor (CTT) position in our School Psychology program, will be coming to campus on Friday, April 14.

Her Teaching Presentation will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14 in LSC 648. Her presentation is titled, “Tailoring RTI for Bilingual Learners.” More information can be found here.

Brief Bio

Dr. Emilie Ney earned her Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a bilingual concentration. She worked for two years in a community mental health clinic in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, where she supervised a children’s crisis stabilization unit, provided individual, group, and family therapy, and conducted psychoeducational assessments. For the past 6 years Dr. Ney has been an Assistant Professor at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL where she supervises the program’s training clinic and serves as Department Chair, among her other responsibilities as a faculty member. Her primary areas of clinical and research interest focus on meeting the educational needs of English Language Learners.
