Notice of Campus Visit – Anayeli Lopez (November 29)

Anayeli Lopez, candidate for the HDFR Assistant Professor position, will be coming to campus on Tuesday, November 29.

Her Research Presentation will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29 in LSC 745. More information can be found here.

Anayeli Lopez is a doctoral candidate in the international Ph.D. program in Social Welfare at Boston College and ITESO – Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, Mexico.  She completed a BA degree in Psychology at Grace College and an MSW degree at Case Western Reserve University.  Anayeli has been actively engaged in addressing social justice issues affecting Latino immigrant families through different outreach positions and involvement in task force committees for more than 10 years. Her research has explored the ecological factors that promote or hinder the well-being of Latino immigrant families as well as the role of family, schools, and community partnerships in the educational success of Latino children.  These research projects have resulted in multiple presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
