NSF and NIH Workshop Conferences

Print

The Office of Research Services (ORS) wants you to be aware of two grant workshops, one being given by NSF and one by NIH in the Spring of 2016. ORS has been sending a few people to such meetings recently; we will be continuing this practice in the Spring.

If you are interested in attending one of these workshops, let Carie Carroll (carie.carroll@ucdenver.edu) know. We will provide $1,200 for you to participate. Check your schedules to see if they fit and let us know.

Depending on interest, up to ten participants will be chosen with preference given to (1) those who have not attended a grant workshop previously, (2) new investigators, and (3) those who have yet to obtain external funding. Once you are chosen, we will provide further information when the agencies open their registration process, BUT you will be responsible for registering ASAP, as workshop spots are limited in number. If you have attended an NSF grant workshop, but not an NIH one, you are eligible and vice versa.

Here are the details we have to this point:

NSF Grants Conference– February 29 – March 1, 2016 (Portland, OR); no timeframe provided for registration opening (see http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/dias/policy/outreach.jsp#regional)

NIH – May 11 – 13, 2016 (Baltimore, MD); registration will open in early January, 2016 (see
