ORS is pleased to announce a call for applications for 3 to 5 faculty research fellowships to create a cross-disciplinary research team from across the University of Colorado Denver

The CRC interdisciplinary fellowship will support several cross-disciplinary faculty for the 2017 – 2018 academic year. Successful applicants will form a collaborative “team” for a 12 month fellowship (mid-June to mid-June) that draws from various disciplines across the campus. Fellows will receive either a one course offload for either the fall 2016 or spring 2017 semesters, OR $5000.00 dollars in faculty development funding (can be used as summer salary, for travel, or other research needs) to work on several proposals for research grants or creative endeavors such as exhibitions, texts, or similar. An example of the activities that will be supported could be the creation of a cross disciplinary team that defines a project and then submits at least 3 applications to external funding agencies during the fellowship year. In addition, each fellow would give a talk about their research at a brown bag lecture series for faculty and students. This would occur once per semester during their fellowship year. The idea for this venue would be to provide further possibilities for faculty connections to be made from across the campus that could impact/engage the greater community as well as foster a stronger research identity for the campus.
ELIGIBILITY:
Eligible faculty members are those holding a full-time appointment on the CU Denver downtown campus in a tenure-track; tenured; research or clinical track rank. Faculty are encouraged either to applied individually or as a team. Teams must representatives from at least two colleges to be considered. An exception will be considered for departments from CLAS where the proposals and team member‘s disciplines clearly bridge the humanities and the sciences.
