The National School Board Association’s annual conference was in Denver at the end of March. Dr. Sally Nathenson-Mejia was invited to be part of a panel Two is Better Than One: The Importance and Value of Bilingual Education. She and Dr. Maria Uribe, Nicola Hodkowski, doctoral student, and Dr. Ron Tzur (in absentia) were invited to present English Language Learners and Elementary Math: Increasing Student Outcomes. They reported findings of the ongoing NSF Student Adaptive Pedagogy grant project and included two alums, Beth Joswick and Ally Lewis, who are participating in the project.
