Invitation to Building Brighter Futures: Integrating Early Childhood Mental Health into Higher Education

You are invited to Building Brighter Futures: Integrating Early Childhood Mental Health into Higher Education, a full-day learning event on Friday, August 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Auraria Campus in Denver.
Whether you teach future educators, social workers, counselors, psychologists, healthcare professionals, or other practitioners who support young children and families, your role in preparing the next generation of professionals is incredibly important. This event is an opportunity to explore how perinatal, infant, and early childhood mental health can be meaningfully integrated into higher education through teaching, research, field experiences, and community partnerships.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Learn from experts in early childhood mental health and workforce development.
  • Explore practical strategies and resources you can adapt to your own courses, research, or professional practice.
  • Connect with other higher education professionals from across Colorado who share an interest in supporting young children and families.
  • Participate in collaborative discussions designed to spark new ideas and partnerships.
Our goal is for participants to leave with a deeper understanding of early childhood mental health, practical tools they can use in their work, and new connections with colleagues across disciplines and institutions.
Parking, lunch, and workshop materials will be provided.
Please RSVP here. Please feel free to share with others who might be interested. Space is limited and we would be grateful if you could register at your earliest convenience to help us plan for the day. If you are interested but unable to attend, please hold November 16th for a second event.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rachel Stein at rachel.m.stein@ucdenver.edu.
We hope you’ll consider joining us for what promises to be an engaging and collaborative day of learning. We’d be delighted to have you as part of the conversation.
