Summary:
Our March DEI meeting started with an individual check-in. As we approach the midpoint of the semester, we are reminded of the importance of caring for our physical and mental health, which are crucial to finding motivation and sustainable productivity. A couple of our committee members recently attended the 2nd Annual W.E.B. Du Bois Symposium and shared their learnings. We discussed the importance of bystander training and would like to share free DEI-related training resources with everyone. We also discussed a potential future student inquiry to explore how marginalized students experience SEHD. We concluded the meeting by discussing the election process for the next DEI chair.
