Dear Supervisors and University Staff,
We are over halfway through the 2025–2026 performance cycle! This is a reminder for supervisors to meet with their staff for a mid-year performance check-in. This check-in is an opportunity to foster an environment of support, highlight achievements, recognize successes, and address areas where additional guidance may be helpful.
Recommended topics to discuss include the status of performance goals and projects, progress toward expectations, areas where additional support may be needed, and guidance related to corrections or development opportunities.
This check-in is also a good opportunity to discuss professional development and training options that support continued growth. Training may include skill-building opportunities, role-specific learning, cross-training, or other development activities aligned with individual goals, job responsibilities, and departmental needs.
Next Steps
- Prior to the mid-year check-in meeting, the employee should:
- Complete a self-evaluation for each goal on the Expectations & Goal Setting tab.
- Add any additional comments on the Mid-Point Check-In tab.
Additional comments may address how you are meeting your key Job Responsibilities and Behaviors for Success (listed on the Supervisor Summary Evaluation tab) so far this year.
- The supervisor will then add comments for each goal on the Expectations & Goal Setting tab, as well as any additional comments on the Mid-Point Check-In tab.
- Following the mid-year check-in discussion, the date of the meeting and signatures should be added to the Mid-Point Check-In tab.
- The same SharePoint files can then be used again in July for the annual evaluation process.
The mid-year check-in form is included in the Performance Management and Development Program Form, which is the Excel workbook format professional plan that was submitted in July/August 2025.
If you need a copy of your performance form or have any questions, please contact sehdhr@ucdenver.edu.
Thank you for your time and commitment to this process.
