The Office of Global Education is happy to announce that the Global Study Program Proposal application is now open for Winter 2027 and Maymester/Summer 2027. Global Study Programs are short-term, faculty-led, CU Denver | Anschutz courses that take place abroad.
Please note that the ‘lead’ faculty member will submit the proposal. If you have a co-faculty, co-leader, or program support, they will complete the Co-Faculty Addendum. Each section can be saved and completed at your own pace. We recommend that you review the attached Faculty Handbook which includes sample questionnaires and further guidance on leading a study abroad program.

Important Deadlines

Winter program proposals are due Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Maymester/summer program proposals are due Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Your proposal will be reviewed by the Global Education Advisory Committee (GEAC) using criteria included in the proposal application. GEAC is a campus committee composed of CU Denver | Anschutz faculty and staff. In addition, your Department Chair and/or Associate Dean will submit a recommendation as part of the review. GEAC has requested that proposals only be submitted once you have finalized details from your program provider (if applicable) and all necessary materials (budgets, syllabus, daily schedule) are updated to the appropriate term/year. Please see attached for a comprehensive timeline for submitting proposals, receiving feedback, and making changes. Please refrain from marketing your program to students until your proposal has been approved by GEAC.
