Invitation to Faculty, Staff, and Students to Participate in The Critical, Emerging Issues Speaker Series

You are invited to participate in our “Critical, Emerging Issues Speaker Series”.  The series invites scholars, students, and staff to speak about timely issues impacting CU Denver, the Denver metropolitan area, the nation, and humanity.  Through their lectures, applied scholarly work, and outreach efforts, the speakers in the series will highlight the scholarship, creativity and dedication of CU Denver and create a continuing dialogue with the greater Denver community.

Lectures in the series will take place in the Spring Semester of 2025 and will last anywhere from 60 to 75 minutes.  The topics covered in the series, as the name implies, are intended to be topical and controversial.  We would be very happy to have a speaker that can address one of the many education and human development topics that would fall under this umbrella (e.g., student loan forgiveness, school shootings, Critical Race Theory, etc.).

Please share this invitation with your colleagues, and if you or they are interested in participating in the series please send a brief abstract describing the lecture topic to be covered and also the speakers CV to thomas.j.beck@ucdenver.edu.
