Critical Race Theory is not a qualitative framework, but much of CRT
research is qualitative in nature. Quantitative critical (QuantCrit;
Stage, 2007) theory helps us frame the use of quantitative methods
in line with CRT. This session will start a conversation on what
QuantCrit is and how it can change your research.

Tenants of QuantCrit include:
• The Centrality of Oppression
• Data and Methods are not Neutral
• Data cannot Speak for Itself
• Groups are Neither Natural nor Inherent
• Taking and Intersectional Perspective
• Valuing the Narrative and Counter-Narrative
