To kick off Women’s History Month, we celebrate women entrepreneurs that tell their stories through their art, creativity, and products. We look to these women-owned/women-led businesses and organizations as role models to show us all where hard work and passion can lead. Women entrepreneurs are creating new businesses, disrupting established industries, and developing innovative products at a record pace. The success of these women does not come without facing many obstacles and barriers, as women owners make up only one-third of the business market today. Though these obstacles are persistent, it reveals just how powerful women are in overcoming them. Gender equality in business requires changes in public and private sectors along with community buy-in to continue the upward mobility of successful women. Come celebrate women entrepreneurs in the Denver community through purchasing goods and engaging in resources made for and by women
Next, from the City of Denver:
The Denver Women’s Commission believes in empowering women and girls’ uniqueness by supporting them to achieve their dreams and full potential in becoming leaders allowing them to have a voice to perform and deliver. We are a diverse team that treats all walks of life with fairness and dignity.

Radical women, embracing tradition
Investing in women can unlock infinite potential around the globe. But how can women walk the line between Western-style empowerment and traditional culture? Kavita Ramdas of the Global Fund for Women talks about three encounters with powerful women who fight to make the world better — while preserving the traditions that sustain them.
Gloria Steinem • TEDWomen 2020 • under 20 minutes
To future generations of women, you are the roots of change
Activist and author Gloria Steinem is an icon of the global feminist movement. She’s spent her life defying stereotypes, breaking social barriers, and fighting for equality. In conversation with TEDWomen curator Pat Mitchell, Steinem reflects on the revolutionary roots of the feminist movement, the fundamental need for intersectionality to combat prejudice, and how she overcame her fears with the support of friends. Now she urges future generations of women to advocate for each other in solidarity — and discover the freedom found in companionship and community.
