Dear colleagues, if you haven’t perused our CU Learning & Development opportunities recently, here’s a reminder!
I recently attended the program Conflict Resolution Styles. It was three hours one morning with about 12 colleagues across Denver & Anschutz campuses, and together we were able to think through various styles of addressing conflict, practice thinking in different styles, and freshen our perspective about ways to solve puzzles we face in work and life. I found it to be time well spent!
At the Learning & Development website, you can find a wide variety of topics including professional development opportunities, interpersonal skills, manager competencies, and targeted topics specific to the University. You can enroll in self-paced courses, live zoom cohort courses, and in person events as well.
Most of the opportunities are at no cost, and a few programs require a fee. For example, “Lead with Your Strengths” is a new course offered in 2022, and is $39.99 because the course includes a Manager Report from Gallup. It looks like it already has a wait list, so that’s a good reminder for me to mention that taking a look periodically & signing up early when you can is a good idea!
