Exploring Interconnections:
Examining Social and Emotional Learning through a Lens of Culturally Responsive Teaching
Friday, April 12th at 1:00 in LW 710
The purpose of this exploratory qualitative case study was to research whether or not evidence of culturally responsive teaching mindsets and practices of instructional staff could be identified within the social and emotional learning innovation at one suburban dual language elementary school. If evidence was found of culturally responsive teaching practices and mindsets within the SEL innovation, the nature of the CRT mindsets and practices was examined and reported on in order to serve as a quality improvement measure for the teachers and administrators at the research partner site and district.
