The School of Education & Human Development is pleased to announce the recruitment of a Clinical Open Rank Professor (Assistant–Associate), Clinical Teaching Track position in the Counseling Program.
The mission of the Counseling Program is to prepare competent, ethical, and inclusive counseling professionals who value diversity and social justice, and who are equipped to provide high-quality mental health services across a range of professional settings for the benefit of individuals, families, and communities.
The successful candidate for this position will:
- Teach graduate-level courses in the Counseling Program. The standard teaching load is consistent with the clinical teaching track and may include CACREP core curriculum courses, skills-based courses, and practicum and internship supervision across program areas.
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision, both live and/or virtually, within practicum and internship courses as a licensed mental health professional.
- Infuse culturally responsive, inclusive, and equity-centered practices into teaching, supervision, and curriculum.
- Contribute to program development and evaluation, including course development and revision, performance-based assessment aligned with CACREP standards, and activities related to accreditation.
- Engage in service activities that support the Counseling Program, SEHD, the University, and the counseling profession at the local, state, and/or national level.
- Support and maintain community partnerships within the greater Denver area that enhance clinical training opportunities and community engagement.
