The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (O-EDI) is excited to announce the call for nominations for the 2025 CU Denver Faculty Inclusive Excellence Award. This prestigious award honors a faculty member who demonstrates a long-standing commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at CU Denver. This is a great opportunity to recognize an SEHD faculty member who demonstrates our Inclusive Excellence Principles and who supports any of our Inclusive Excellence goals. SEHD faculty members are encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague who has made significant contributions in these areas.
O-EDI recognizes the tremendous amount of outstanding work happening throughout our School and hopes to support one SEHD nominee (Schools/Colleges may also submit any number of nominees). If you wish to nominate yourself or a colleague to O-EDI to nominate for this award, please contact antwan at antwan.jefferson@ucdenver.edu by Friday, January 24 (this is also Marlinda Hines’ birthday). Nominations are due by Monday, February 17, 2025, and this timeframe allows for the development of application materials, which include: 1. Two- or three-page statement written by the nominee that includes the nominee’s DEI philosophy and that addresses at least one of the three criteria for the award; 2. Correspondence from current or former colleagues such as other faculty, students, peers, alumni, staff or administrators; and, 3. Current vita, prepared according to the standard CU Denver format.
The award winner will receive a $1,500 stipend and a glass sculpture, presented at the Celebration of Faculty Excellence event in April. More information about this and other awards may be found on the CU Denver Faculty Affairs website.
