The SEHD is excited to welcome Sophie Eggert as the long-awaited Grants and Contracts Program Manager. Sophie comes to us from the Department of Neurosurgery on the Anschutz Medical Campus, in her most recent role as Research Manager. She was also an elementary school teacher from 2009-2014 in Denver Public Schools, and has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Mercer University in Atlanta. Sophie’s BA is in International Relations from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Sophie is looking forward to utilizing her grants administration and research support expertise in the Education field that she loves.
Sophie will be orienting with us this week and next, as she wraps things up at the School of Medicine. She will start full time with the SEHD on Thursday, June 20th. Please continue to send your grants & contracts-related emails to Tricia & Jamie during this transition period. Sophie will start joining scheduled meetings with PIs and we’ll start transitioning work gradually. Sophie’s office is LSC 606 – please come by to meet Sophie and say hello!
