The OIT AV team is proposing standardization of classroom technologies. They have developed a prototype “hyflex classroom” in North Classroom Building, Room 1405 – that folks are welcome to explore. This is a standard smart classroom setup with better components, so higher costs and fewer break downs. These rooms start at $60k each.
The SEHD Tech Team is working with OIT AV on plans to align SEHD classroom technologies accordingly. In a nutshell, this should stabilize SEHD classrooms with better inner-workings and infrastructure. We are contracting with OIT AV and/or external vendors to deploy upgrades to some rooms this summer – as much as budget will allow.
