Congratulations to Julia Mahfouz, PhD, faculty member in the Leadership for Educational Organizations program! She received the Joseph E. Zins Early Career Contributions Award for Outstanding Contributions to Action Research in Social and Emotional Learning at CASEL’s SELExchange Conference on November 7, 2023. The award is named after Joe Zins, a pioneer in the SEL field, who cared deeply about growing the field of social and emotional learning and using research to guide practice. His work exemplified the blending of rigorous science and high-quality implementation that CASEL has upheld as an abiding standard.
