Heads Up: OIT is Upgrading Wi-Fi Networks in Multiple Locations

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is upgrading Wi-Fi networks in multiple locations around campus including the Lawrence Street Center (LSC). Upgrades in the LSC are tentatively scheduled for August 7th – 11th and should not cause any network disruptions. Details from OIT are below.

Key Highlights of the Wi-Fi Upgrades:

1. Minimal Impact: We understand the importance of uninterrupted connectivity for your daily operations. These upgrades have been planned meticulously to minimize any disruptions. We do not anticipate any service outages during the upgrade process.
2. Enhanced Performance: The new Wi-Fi infrastructure will significantly improve the speed and reliability of your wireless connections. Whether you’re streaming multimedia content, participating in video conferences, or accessing critical online resources, you can expect a noticeable improvement in performance.
3. Expanded Coverage: Our upgraded wireless network will provide broader coverage, ensuring that all areas within the building receive a strong and stable Wi-Fi signal. This means better connectivity in meeting rooms, common areas, and even remote corners.
4. Future-Ready: The new equipment has been selected with scalability in mind, allowing for future expansion and technological advancements. We are committed to providing you with a robust Wi-Fi infrastructure that can accommodate the growing demands of modern digital environments.

CU Denver Wireless Upgrade: Building Plan for AP Deployment and Conduit Installation

NOTE:  We anticipate only a few hours per floor, per day, and starting before working hours in most locations. Therefore, the upgrades may be completed before the start of business. 
We kindly request your cooperation during the upgrade process:

· Please communicate to our project team any conflicts with the upgrade schedule
· Please ensure that your devices are configured to automatically connect to available Wi-Fi networks.
· We will keep you informed about the progress of the upgrades through regular communications and notifications.
