The SEHD will be getting new copier/printing machines in the next couple of weeks. The copiers on the 6th floor and the 11th floor will be changed to slightly smaller models due to lower overall usage and budget constraints. The new machines will have the same functions as the current copier machines. The 7th floor copier does have the highest usage, so we are getting the newest model of the current copier machine.
The 6th floor copier will be delivered on Friday, April 14th. The other two copiers are currently on backorder, so we don’t have an estimated date for when those will be delivered yet. We are working with the Tech team to ensure a smooth transition from the old copiers to the new copiers, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we get the new copiers going.
You might see that the old copiers are left in the hallways once the new copiers arrive. Konica Minolta has a unique process in which they first deliver the new copier and get it set up, and then they send another team to come pick up the copiers a couple of days/weeks later.
Finally, it has been a few years since we have increased the copy/print rates, and the current rates are not covering the costs.
As a result of a new cost study, effective May 1, 2023, the new copy/print rates will be:
Black & white $0.10/page (currently $0.06/page)
Color $0.15/page (currently $0.10/page)
