Dean Marvin Lynn has approved funds for the SEHD Faculty Development Grant. Applications are now open for Fall 2022 SEHD Faculty Development Grant. Note, there will be another application call in Spring 2023 if the budget permits. Grants are available to full time faculty (T/TT, IRC/CT, Sr. Instructor & Instructor). The maximum amount of the award is $1000 dollars per year. To be eligible for a grant, you need to demonstrate use of your existing faculty development funds or plans to exhaust all your funds (PD, grants, etc.) prior to June 30, 2023.

Examples of SEHD Faculty Development Grants
- Matching funds for larger grants.
- Support for a small pilot studies that encourages larger external grant proposals.
- Travel support to present at international conferences or other special presentations.
- Professional translator to transcript survey data.
- Host forums or special workshops.
- Research software or other types of research materials.
- Publication support for development of a manuscript, score, script, or a catalog resulting from an exhibition.
- Support for a student hourly research assistant.
- Materials required for portfolio development.
- Support for developing new teaching pedagogies in the classroom.
- Travel costs for faculty mentors to visit locally or for faculty to visit mentors.
