ACTION NEEDED: Campus and Workplace Culture Survey Closes Nov. 18th

We’re sure that you all have received initial and reminder messages about the Campus and Workplace Culture Survey that the University has launched recently. This important survey is related to 2 major strategic goals of CU Denver: to become an equity-serving institution (the first of its name) and to be a best place to work. Together, these goals represent a critical emphasis of CU Denver to retain a wide and diverse community of faculty, students, and staff. These goals also represent important emphases for SEHD.

The results of the survey are important to us as we want to make significant progress towards ensuring that the culture of SEHD and of CU Denver, in general, is supportive, safe, and inclusive and allows each of us to thrive and continue to do our good work. Given that we have several faculty searches underway, as well as a search for a new Dean, we see this information as a means for informing our future work together and to ensure that our arriving colleagues thrive as well.

The process being utilized to collect the survey data have the following embedded precautions to ensure validity and anonymity:

  • The survey tool, process, and post-survey actions are being monitored by a CU Denver committee comprised of: OIRE, Staff Council, SGA, Faculty Assembly, Office of Equity, HR, Office for DEI, UCOMMS, and a Dean’s representative.
  • It is being administered by CU Denver’s Institutional Research (OIRE) Office.
  • Participant identifying information will be removed from responses upon submission.
  • Results will not be disaggregated for groups of less than 10 people. Thus, if fewer than 10 individuals respond from a given unit, the unit will not be represented as its own group.

With these considerations in mind, we hope you will take 10-20 minutes to complete the survey representing your experiences at CU Denver and in SEHD. The survey will close on November 18.
