Sean Michael Morris—senior instructor in Learning Design and Technology (LDT) and director of Digital Pedagogy Lab—will advise the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) on a new pedagogy program. The pilot program is aimed at supporting pedagogical competence among faculty at the Trondheim, Gjøvik, and Ålesund campuses in Norway. Sean will advise the program leaders on how well the training—which is intended to be instituted across Norwegian universities—addresses digital pedagogy within the context of the program’s core outcomes:
- Create inclusive learning environments that promote learning for everyone
- Drive developments that adopt a critically reflective approach to teaching, learning, guidance, and assessment
- View teaching practice from a holistic perspective
- Interact and contribute to networks that promote teaching, learning, and assessment.
As the only American invited to advise on the program, Sean will bring a perspective deeply engrained in the work that LDT does: one that considers the concerns of diversity, equity, and inclusion within digital teaching and learning. The panel of advisors will write a commentary on the program, and will present their perspectives during a live presentation on October 18, 2021.
