Senior Instructor Jarrod Hanson was recently elected chair of Faculty Assembly. The official voice of CU Denver and CU Anschutz Medical Campus professors and instructors, Faculty Assembly advises campus chancellors on matters of academic policy and ethics.
Hanson, PhD, teaches in CU Denver’s School of Education & Human Development. He holds a PhD from CU Boulder and a law degree from the University of Chicago and has worked as a high school social studies teacher and a public finance attorney. He has a passion for social studies education, including the democratic and civic purposes of education. “I am excited to serve as chair of Faculty Assembly during this period when we begin to finalize and implement the vision for the university articulated by our community in the strategic plan,” he said.
