GENERAL BUSINESS & REVIEW/DISCUSSIONS

The dean’s vision for the committee is to be constructive and colloquial. Engage in dialogue with faculty when it comes to reviewing course syllabi.

Committee remarks:

How to structure the committee that is not busy work or authoritative?

5 year syllabi review – no response or follow through from faculty, can the nuts and bolts of the syllabus be reviewed by grad student?

Brainstorming:

Invite programs to meet with the curriculum committee to share what they are doing.

What do programs need from the curriculum committee?

Committee can share ideas with program areas.
