Mac users: it is advised NOT to update to OS 10.15 (Catalina) at this time. Apple will ‘nudge’ you to update we advise that you do not. The update breaks some applications and often disables wireless networking.
All users: OIT is continuing to implement multi-factor authentication, aka double-checking logins. This is a security measure, similar to ecommerce systems. This will soon be applied to Office 365 meaning ucdenver email will have to be accessed via (a) MS Outlook or (b) Web access. Alternate email clients on phones, computers or tablets will cease working.
OIT is introducing an app called Duo that helps with the double-login requirement. You can download and begin using it on your smartphones, please take a look at the documentation from OIT.
