Currently the Notifications feature in Canvas is all or nothing, you set it and it is the same for all the courses you are teaching, supervising, or visiting. Over the past 3 years more than 700 course instructors have asked for this to be changed. We want to be able to set notifications for each individual course that we are involved in. However, Canvas has not agreed to attend to this feature yet, they want a larger showing of interest/need for this change.
If you would like to be able to set your notifications differently for separate courses, please consider casting a vote for this change. You can go here to vote, make your comment and also read what others have said.
