Dear roommate…

sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu
All of us are guilty of grumbling when things don’t work as expected.   It is frustrating when you need it, and it isn’t primed and ready.   In the TechTeam we do our best to keep SEHD tech primed and ready.   However, it really does take a village.
Just as the SEHD Staff Council is addressing our kitchen areas, we have issues with other community areas  – classrooms, printers, shared drives, and etc.   Folks rewire smart classrooms, and don’t put things back as they found them.  Webcams and keyboards disappear from classrooms/conference rooms.   Folks will burn through reams of paper and toner on public printers.  Folks leave projectors running in empty rooms – burning out $400 projector bulbs.   Worst of all, folks will experience a technical problem and openly complain about it –  but not report it!   And like the kitchens, they walk away – leaving the next tenant with the issues.
So, yea.  I’ve had lots of roommates over the years and this is that.  Occasionally we have to remind one another that we’re in this together.   I won’t drink your milk if you’ll keep your dirty laundry off the couch.  Etc.  So this is my appeal to you – let’s do our best to take care of all of our shared spaces and be considerate of all of our roommates.  The golden rule…

If you do have a facilities problem, suggestion or complaint – don’t grumble to a friend – grumble to sehdhelp@ucdenver.edu so we can address it.
