SEHD SAC Meeting
Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11a.m.
Location: Lawrence Street Center, Room 603
In Attendance: Melissa Burrows, Jessica Coon, Rachel Cornelius, Michelle Nimer, Gretchen Kelm, Lindsay Harn

Employee Recognition Committee

  • ACTION: Rachel to talk with Sandy about work-study Veronica Scherbak.
  • Employee Recognition Program Discussion
    • Create a form template online that sends recognition praise to the SAC
    • SAC will have a webpage where employee recognition praise is posted
    • Idea: maybe all givers and receivers get an incentive?
    • “You Made My Day” cards can still be used
    • Idea: You can submit your own recognition if someone paid you a specific compliment.
    • Affirm givers/receivers by name in our quarterly meetings

SAC Budget

  • SAC Members reviewed the SAC Budget and made suggested financial amounts to be submitted to Timothy Halliday after Lindsay Harn finishes tweaking the necessary categories under Professional Development.

Quarterly Staff Meeting Planning

  • Date: February 24 from 11:30-1p.m.
  • Qdoba catering
  • Items to Discuss:
    • SAC Ideas:
      • Employee Recognition Cards (Expansion)
      • Summer BBQ (Poll for month, day, location and interest)
      • SAC—who we are and what we are here for
    • New Hire Introductions
    • TED Talk Follow-Up from last quarterly meeting
    • In-house PD brainstorming (what would staff like to see at our future quarterly meetings)
