The President’s Teaching and Learning Collaborative (PTLC) is a program that offers support for the advancement of teaching and learning scholarship at the University of Colorado, with particular emphasis on the publication of peer-reviewed research. The PTLC focuses on the development of new scholars and execution of teaching and learning research projects that advance the educational mission of the University. The Collaborative is committed to establishing the University of Colorado as a leader in teaching and learning research. The Collaborative is part of the system-wide President’s Teaching Scholars Program, which is funded by the President’s office.
The PTLC process has been recently redesigned to include two distinct stages:
The first phase of the PTLC is a one-year program focused on educating faculty and creating community on scholarship of teaching and learning and developing rigorous research proposals. The second phase of the program focuses on research execution, is highly selective, and may take up to two years. As PTLC members progress through the program and demonstrates excellence in the scholarship of teaching and learning, they will receive designation and recognition. |
