Ever wondered how social justice-oriented family research can inform one’s approach to strengthen Latino families? Dr. Henry Gonzalez will present an overview of his rigorous program of research aimed at identifying understudied family-based targets for culturally and ecologically appropriate interventions and policies to promote strong and healthy family relationships. Dr. Gonzalez’s research incorporates mixed-methods approaches and uses multiple theoretical lenses to extend family science beyond academic boundaries to tackle pressing social justice issues impacting the lives of Latino families and children in the 21st century.
