In December, bepress Digital Commons (who hosts the SEHD SOURCE repository), will launch a BRAND NEW, SLEEKER, BETTER version of SelectedWorks™, also known as your faculty profile page.
Being a part of SOURCE and SelectedWorks™ allows you to create and enhance your online presence by creating a CV-like profile page (similar to Google Scholar or Academia.edu – but better!) – that can move with you should you ever move institutions! It provides you with Readership Maps and Exportable Readership Information! You can check out a few of your colleagues’ current SelectedWorks™ pages here: http://source.ucdsehd.net/sw_gallery.html. Note: This format is what will be changing come December, see photo below to preview the “new look”.
The NEW SelectedWorks™ format will provide easier navigation, enhanced information, utilizing ALL of the information on your CV.
In creating your SOURCE SelectedWorks™ page, which adds your publications and other content to the repository, you not only make yourself SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZED, but you also have access to an Author Dashboard, where your Readership information is displayed. You can also export this information for various uses. This re-vamped feature of the new SelectedWorks™ has already been implemented and can be used as soon as you page is created! (See below)
In an effort to be ready for the NEW SelectedWorks™ come December, and if you haven’t done so already, please send Melissa M. Burrows (SOURCE Repository Manager – MELISSA.BURROWS@UCDENVER.EDU) your updated CV so she can start populating your content on SOURCE and creating your SelectedWorks™ page! You are more than welcome to create and manage your page on your own, but Melissa is also happy to assist you!
