Pending HDFR New Courses Janine and Ruben
- HDFR 3002 – Professional Dev in HDFR
- Proposed title does not represent the content of the course. Update title to: Preparing to be a HDFR Professional
- Course Description:
- Change “family policy” to family policies and laws
- Update “development” to preparation
- Student Outcomes:
- #7 – change “is” reflective to “are”
- #9 – clarify the outcome
- Think about adding the importance of web tools in outcomes (i.e. LinkedIn)
- HDFR 4930 – Field Experience
- Check with Experiential Learning Center or University Risk Management to see if liability insurance is available through CU Denver
- Incorporate required to attend orientations or workshops in the syllabus
- Find tools to assist supervising student assessment
Approved ECED – New Course Alissa Rausch
- Unable to use ECED 5090, course number was previously used and deactivated effective spring 2015. Will use ECED 5091: Early Childhood Educators: Advocates of Social Change.
- Update transcript title to: Early Educators Social Change
- Check the rigor of course and rubric. Consider updating points total to 300-500
- Advocacy Start Up Project
- Students can work individually or in a group. How will students be accountable for their participation in group work?
- Add the library of relevant resources to the grading rubric
- Offering course for instructor’s dissertation. Will need approval from IRB before June 13, 2015. There are plans for the course to continue after dissertation in complete.

Approved SPED New Course and Revision Bonnie Utley
- SPED 5401 – Seminar in Special Education
- Will create a new course using title and course description from SPED 5400
- SPED 5400 – Revision
- Change title to: Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Course will be cross listed with SPED 4400. Couse title and description will be identical to SPED 4400
- SPED 5400 and SPED 5401 are pending approval from the registrar’s office. Significant changes to title and course description require a new course to be created, per registrar policy.
