Dane Stickney, an assistant teaching professor in ASPIRE, co-authored a blog with a local teacher and area college student. “Policy impacts through local intergenerational collectives” examines the impact of two Denver-based youth participatory action research projects that focused on transportation justice. Asherah Adler-Eldridge, a Denver Public Schools alumnus and recent graduate of Suffolk University in Boston, lead-authored the piece and describes a project she and her classmates conducted about bus services in DPS. Milahd Makooi, who has received undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as his teacher certification from SEHD, is a local teacher and co-author who describes a project he and middle school students conducted to bring safety measures to Denver’s Broadway street.  This blog is part of a series of publications in which Stickney leads writing projects with local students and teachers.
