Spring commencement is on May 16, which means we need your help identifying standout grads to feature in CU Denver News, in media pitches, and on social media! Please don’t feel like you have to select students who are in honors programs or who are in the running for school/college awards. We will definitely consider these submissions, but we are really looking for students who show how CU Denver supported their success (this could be in areas like internships, part-time jobs while studying, on-campus resources, hands-on learning opportunities in industry, flexible course schedule, etc.). We are also looking for graduates who have a job lined up after graduation.
To help you brainstorm ideas, below are a few examples of commencement profiles from last fall that ended up being featured in the media.

And we are always looking for students who represent our brand and have met their moment at CU Denver. This could mean they overcame challenges to get here, they found their community while here, they discovered their career path, or they found their passion through their courses and connections.
If you have recommendations for a student who should be highlighted, please send an email to Julia Cummings (julia.cummings@ucdenver.edu) with their name, school/college, degree, contact information (email and cell), faculty contact info, and one to two paragraphs on the student’s story by Tuesday, Feb. 24, end of day.
